Delivery of Icon of the Seas - World´s Largest Cruise Ship

The team from R&M Finland has successfully completed three different projects as part of the construction of the ICON 1, earning praise from both the owner and the shipyard for their exceptional quality of work. The scope of this ambitious project was vast and demanding. It included the steel-to-steel turnkey construction in the service areas on Decks 0 to 2, which covered an area of approximately 4500 square meters. Furthermore, the turnkey construction of the public areas, spanning an impressive 5300 square meters, was successfully carried out.

In addition to these major tasks, the team also completed specific areas for the crew. This included the crew fitness room on Deck 1, a public area for the crew on Deck 2, as well as the crew mess and crew bar, located on Deck 2 and Deck 3, respectively. A rope store was also set up on Deck 3.

The work further included the completion of a public fitness room on Deck 5, another fitness room on Deck 6, and a pantry on Deck 7. The open deck for the crew on Deck 7 was also designed and integrated into the overall structure. Moreover, the turnkey construction of eight AC rooms in fire zone 3, totaling an area of 1300 square meters, was successfully completed.

We are extremely proud of the entire team for achieving such a high level of professionalism and quality in this project. This achievement is particularly noteworthy given that the ICON 1 is the largest ship in the world and the first of its kind. The team's hard work, dedication, and attention to detail have clearly paid off. A heartfelt thank you to the team in Finland for their outstanding efforts and their contribution to this historic project.
