R&M receives orders of MV Werften for "Global" and "Crystal Endeavor"
MV Werften, with bases in the German towns of Wismar, Warnemünde and Stralsund, is currently building new cruise ships for the Genting Group in the "Endeavor" and "Global" series.
"Crystal Endeavor", a luxury expedition yacht and the first member of the "Endeavor" fleet, has been under construction in Stralsund since the end of 2017. Two more vessels are to follow, with delivery scheduled to take place from 2019 onwards to Crystal Yacht Expedition Cruises, an American shipping company specializing in luxury travel. The ships of the "Endeavor" fleet are going to be the world’s biggest mega yachts. They can operate in the tropics and also, thanks to their PC6 classification, in polar regions. The first "Global" class vessel has meanwhile been under construction since March 2018 on behalf of Star Cruises. Delivery is scheduled for 2020. These "Global" class vessels are cruise ships designed for the Asian market measuring more than 340 meters in length.
R&M received orders for both ships worth millions. The order of the "Global" includes the area of insulation in three different scopes, deck 0-3, the exhaust shaft and the entire staircases. In addition, we have been given the confirmation for a contract for the public crew areas which include the accommodation package in visual turnkey (walls, ceilings, doors, floor coverings etc.) for various rooms such as mess and bar on different decks. The volume for the "Crystal Endeavor" includes the insulation outside of the turnkey areas. Engineering services for the entire "Crystal Endeavor" will nevertheless be supplied by R&M. The order volume also includes the respective pipe-systems insulation for both vessels.
